
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing and Reliability Engineer with a background in manufacturing and or automation. The role is ideal for a mechanically focused engineer who is passionate about improving the manufacturing process and reliability of the entire site including all the production machines as well as the robotics and automation equipment. You will play a key role in optimising the designs of custom automation equipment and also implementing process improvements that reduce cost and improve reliability / up time.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise new and existing automation equipment.
- Assemble and implement your own designs.
- Troubleshoot production issues.
- Maintain a safe workplace via early hazard identification and management.
- Eliminate/reduce the incidence of workplace injuries.
- Protection of workers, visitors, assets & Environment.
- Monitor and improve site quality performance.
- Actively manage product quality issues on site.
- Measure and improve operational performance.
- Improve processes efficiency’s across the site
- Reduce waste
- Introducing systems and responsible for new hires (if required)
- Training of factory staff (general hands and die setters)
What We’re Looking For:
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Robotics or Mechatronics Engineering
- Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in Automation and or Industrial manufacturing with a strong focus on troubleshooting
- Preferred to have experience in site or operations leadership of a medium to large scale complex production environment
- Excellent manufacturing and process flow understanding
- High proficiency in CAD
- Strong knowledge of assembly, machining, and automation
- Good reasoning ability and problem-solving skills
- Superior motivational skills – being pro-active.
Reporting Structure:
- The Manufacturing and Reliability Engineer will report directly to the Managing Director
Location and Salary
This position is based in Dandenong South, although occasional travel up to Brisbane maybe necessary (once a quarter). Salary details will be discussed during the interview process and we are open to negotiation. More importantly, we are seeking the right individual.
