
We are seeking an expereinced Production Test Technician to carry out testing and quality control of sub-assemblies and final products to ensure correct functionality and performance.
Duties:
The role encompasses but is not limited to the following:
- Perform preliminary testing of PCB assemblies.
- Diagnose and repair (where possible) or quarantine any subassemblies (electrical and electronic) that do not meet functional requirements.
- Carry out a final quality check on finished products, correcting any issue where possible or return product to production for remedial work.
- Quality Control assurance and maintenance.
- Recommend improvement opportunities to increase the robustness of existing testing processes and/or procedures.
- Maintain the testing area in a neat, tidy, well organised and professional manner.
- Follow and comply with the company’s internal documentation.
- Perform other tasks related to the function as instructed by their supervisor.
The Person:
- Must have experience in testing electrical and electronic products.
- Must have had exposure to or at least an understanding of quality control.
- Must hold, or be eligible to apply for, a suitable connect/disconnect electrical qualification, as servicing of 3-phase powered equipment forms part of the role.
- Must have the ability to understand and communicate written and verbal instructions in English.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have exposure and skills in a Windows computer environment.
- Must already hold a right to work in Australia.
- A qualification related to electrical or electronics is a distinct advantage.
