We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated graduate accountant to join a team on a full-time basis.
About the role
Working closely with the partners and a motivated team of accountants, the role involves the provision of a broad range of accounting, taxation, business and superannuation support to our clients including:
- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements;
- Assisting with the provision of strategic taxation and business advice; and
- Liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies.
The successful candidate will receive exposure to a variety of tax and compliance matters, including GST, SMSFs, CGT and FBT, which will provide significant opportunities to improve technical knowledge and develop professional skills.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will have recently graduated, or completing their final year of a relevant tertiary degree, and must be able to demonstrate:
- A good understanding of general accounting principles and Australian tax law;
- Excellent communication skills;
- High level of attention to detail;
- Competency with Microsoft Office programs;
- A proactive, client-focused attitude;
- A genuine interest in tax; and
- Commitment to the development of your accounting skills.
