
As a Site Inspector, you will be responsible for verifying and documenting the physical aspects of properties for the purpose of generating accurate tax depreciation schedules. This role is essential to ensure that the property’s construction details align with regulations for tax depreciation claims.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conducting on-site inspections to document property features, construction methods, and materials for tax depreciation reports
- Ensuring that all elements relevant to depreciation (such as building structure, fittings, and equipment) are properly noted and meet tax requirements
- Identifying and reporting any discrepancies in property features and working with project managers or clients to rectify these
- Maintaining detailed, accurate records and documentation to support tax depreciation calculations
- Working closely with other stakeholders, including accountants and property managers, to ensure that tax depreciation reports are accurate and comply with current regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Site Inspector or a similar role within tax depreciation, property inspection, or construction documentation
- Strong knowledge of tax depreciation regulations and how different property components influence depreciation claims
- Ability to evaluate and document construction work for compliance with tax standards
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to documenting property features
- Good communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders, including clients, property managers, and internal teams
