We are seeking a Transport Manager who can thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and take full ownership of transport operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who is confident managing people, processes, and performance around the clock.
- Lead, manage, and support the transport team across all shifts to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate scheduling and dispatch for both local and interstate removals and freight, optimising fleet utilisation and meeting delivery timeframes.
- Implement and refine operational procedures to drive efficiency, safety, and service quality.
- Work closely with clients, internal teams, and senior leadership to proactively resolve issues and consistently meet or exceed KPIs.
- Manage key operational costs, including budgets, fuel usage, vehicle maintenance, and driver performance metrics.
Skills and experience
- Transport Operations experience preferred but not necessary.
- Management of people or leadership experience.
- Ability to work within effectively with teams.
- Excellent communication at all levels.
- Ability to identify & solve problems or issues within the workspace.
- Excellent time management skills.
