Customer Service is still King
This week we have picked up 2 new clients, whilst competing against much larger recruiters, I won’t name them, but one began with “H” and the other with a “D”.
We were successful in winning this work or the following reasons, as quoted by the employers:
We took the time to go and meet the client for a basic role, other agencies would not as felt was too close to Xmas, or too far to travel for just a basic role. We took the time to go and meet the client, and because of this they give me 2 other roles, both more senior, at the same time, as we were happy to go out of our way to meet them.
This client met both large recruiters and chose not to go with them as during the meeting all the consultants wanted to talk about was how good they were and rattle off their “impressive” client list, whereas I met with them and listened to what they needed and simply gave them a solution.
You can have all the technology, hundreds of staff, and enormous marketing $$, but at the end of the day, customer service will still win.
